1.1.10

On to new ways of cataloguing.

The first day of January is always a little disorienting. It's something of a relief to have a clear schedule once again, but mostly I find it hard to say goodbye to December. Our feather trees were made to be seasonal, but we never can put them away.

I've spent the last few days printing and arranging photographs from 2003 to the present. I hadn't intended to close out the "aughts" this way -- I'm only extending an anniversary present from a few days ago -- but it's been a bittersweet way to conclude ten years that were terrible but also spectacularly wonderful. The albums capture so much of the good and so much of what I hope I never forget (for too long, at least!).

I'm looking forward to the next ten. More castles, please.
